Dr. Ahmed Elghoul – Lecturer and Consultant of Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery
Dr. Ahmed Elghoul obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2013 from Cairo University, Faculty of Medicine, graduating Excellent with Honors. He then completed three years of clinical training in the Department of Neurosurgery at Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. Afterwards, he earned a Master’s degree in Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery and was appointed as a Teaching Assistant, then Assistant Lecturer, in the same department for three years.
He later obtained a Doctorate in Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery, with his research focusing on therapeutic approaches for neurological deformities in children. He currently serves as a Lecturer and Consultant in the Department of Neurosurgery at Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He is a member of the Egyptian Society of Neurosurgeons, the American Congress of Neurosurgeons, and the Swiss Spine Surgery Society.
Dr. Ahmed specializes in both surgical and non-surgical management of a wide range of neurological and spinal conditions in children and adults, including brain hemorrhage, skull fractures, brain and skull base tumors, endoscopic pituitary tumor removal, hydrocephalus, cerebrospinal fluid endoscopy, congenital malformations, spinal fractures, cervical and lumbar disc removal using microsurgery, vertebral and spinal cord tumor removal, and peripheral nerve surgery.
